The 3rd Australian International Chopin Piano Competition was held from 10 - 17 September 2017 at the ANU School of Music, Canberra, Australia.

The Competition was under the direction of Benjamin James (Friends of Chopin Australia), and was partnered with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Canberra, and the Friends of Chopin Australia.

​

Professor Ewa Poblocka joined the jury from Poland, and gave the Gala Opening Recital to formally begin the Competition.

As part of their prize, the winner performed at the Sydney Opera House, the High Court of Australia (Canberra), St Stephen's Cathedral (Brisbane), and Zelazowa Wola (Chopin's birthplace, Poland).
